Since we’re out of warranty… I made the conversion to insert 30A Anderson PowerPole Connectors to make the FT857D more portable. I have it in the car with the original power cord and factory connector… why waste the connector.

Nice.
1.) I would do it with my TRX, too but it seems like one can not simply unsolder the power cables from the 857 PCB and replace them without organizing a new bend protection (the one at the casing) – the cables seem to be glued into it. Do you know a source for these?
2.) There is a 3pin connector named MT60 which I would prefer over the power poles. It features polarity protection plus the brown power reduction cable could be soldered to it….
